Earlier this morning, compLexity Gaming announced that Ryan “Filipino Champ” Ramirez and Long “ShadyK” Tran will no longer be a part of their organization moving forward. Little was offered in the way of an explanation, with compLexity only saying that both players would be leaving their “gaming family.”
Ramirez was picked up by compLexity in 2011 after a brief stint with Borderlands Gaming, and would go on to place first in Evo 2012’s Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 tournament, a win that was supplemented by multiple tournament placings during his years with the team. Tran was signed in the middle of last year, and served as the company’s digital media manager during his short time there. Ramirez and Tran were the only fighting game players on compLexity’s roster.
We would like to wish all parties involved the best of luck as they move forward.
